8 ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΘΘΑΙΟΝ Reference Matthew
Καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Πέτρου εἶδεν τὴν πενθερὰν αὐτοῦ βεβλημένην καὶ πυρέσσουσαν·The Healing of Many People Mt.8.14-17 | Mk.1.29-34 | Lk.4.38-41And when Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever;
καὶ ἡψατο τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ πυρετός· καὶ ἠγέρθη καὶ διηκόνει αὐτῷ. he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and served him.
Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ δαιμονιζομένους πολλούς· καὶ ἐξέβαλεν τὰ πνεύματα λόγῳ, καὶ πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἐχοντας ἐθεράπευσεν· That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.
ὁπως πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ Ἠσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος,
    Αὐτὸς τὰς ἀσθενείας ἡμῶν ἔλαβεν
    καὶ τὰς νόσους ἐβάστασεν.
- He took our infirmities Mt.8.17 | Is.53.4This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah,
"He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
