|29||Καὶ εἶπεν παραβολὴν αὐτοῖς· Ἴδετε τὴν συκῆν καὶ πάντα τὰ δένδρα·
||He told them this parable: 'Look at the fig-tree, or any other tree.||The Lesson of the Fig Tree Lk.21.29-33 | Mt.24.32-35 | Mk.13.28-31
|30||ὁταν προβάλωσιν ἠδη, βλέποντες ἀφ' ἑαυτῶν γινώσκετε ὅτι ἠδη ἐγγὺς τὸ θέρος ἐστίν·
||As soon as it buds, you can see for yourselves that summer is near.||
|31||οὑτως καὶ ὑμεῖς, ὁταν ἰδητε ταῦτα γινόμενα, γινώσκετε ὅτι ἐγγύς ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ.
||In the same way when you see all this happening, you may be sure that the kingdom of God is near.|
|32||ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐ μὴ παρέλθῃ ἡ γενεὰ αὑτη ἑως ἂν πάντα γένηται.
||'I tell you this: the present generation will live to see it all.||
|33||ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ἡ γῆ παρελεύσονται, οἱ δὲ λόγοι μου οὐ μὴ παρελεύσονται.
||Heaven and earth will pass away; my words will never pass away.|
