εἷς γὰρ θεός, εἷς καὶ μεσίτης θεοῦ καὶ ἀνθρώπων, ἄνθρωπος Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς, | For there is one God, and also one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus, himself man, |
ὁ δοὺς ἑαυτὸν ἀντίλυτρον ὑπὲρ πάντων, τὸ μαρτύριον καιροῖς ἰδίοις· | who sacrificed himself to win freedom for all mankind, so providing, at the fitting time, proof of the divine purpose; |

Ἀδὰμ γὰρ πρῶτος ἐπλάσθη, εἶτα Εὕα· | For Adam was created first, and Eve afterwards; |
| and it was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who, yielding to deception, fell into sin. |
| Yet she will be saved through motherhood - if is only women continue in faith, love, and holiness, with a sober mind. |
