| 25 | καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων, φιμώθητι καὶ ἐξελθε ἐξ αὐτοῦ. | Jesus rebuked him: 'Be silent', he said, 'and come out of him.' | |

| 32 | Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης, ὅτε ἐδυ ὁ ἡλιος, ἐφερον πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἐχοντας καὶ τοὺς δαιμονιζομένους· | That evening after sunset they brought to him all who were ill or possessed by devils; | |
| 33 | καὶ ἦν ὁλη ἡ πόλις ἐπισυνηγμένη πρὸς τὴν θύραν. | and the whole town was there, gathered at the door. | |
| 34 | καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν πολλοὺς κακῶς ἐχοντας ποικίλαις νόσοις, καὶ δαιμόνια πολλὰ ἐξέβαλεν, καὶ οὐκ ἠφιεν λαλεῖν τὰ δαιμόνια, ὅτι ᾐδεισαν αὐτόν. | He healed many who suffered from various diseases, and drove out many devils. He would not let the devils speak, because they knew who he was. | |

| 37 | καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι Πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε. | found him, and said, 'They are all looking for you.' | |
| 38 | καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, Ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις, ἵνα καὶ ἐκεῖ κηρύξω· εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐξῆλθον. | He answered, 'Let us move on to the country towns in the neighbourhood; I have to proclaim my message there also; that is what I came out to do .' | |
| 39 | καὶ ἦλθεν κηρύσσων εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς αὐτῶν εἰς ὁλην τὴν Γαλιλαίαν καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ἐκβάλλων. | So all through Galilee he went, preaching in the synagogues and casting out the devils. | |
| 40 | Καὶ ἐρχεται πρὸς αὐτὸν λεπρὸς παρακαλῶν αὐτὸν [καὶ γονυπετῶν] καὶ λέγων αὐτῷ ὅτι Ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι. | Once he was approached by a leper, who knelt before him begging his help. | 44 | καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ, Ὅρα μηδενὶ μηδὲν εἰπῃς, ἀλλὰ ὑπαγε σεαυτὸν δεῖξον τῷ ἱερεῖ καὶ προσένεγκε περὶ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ σου ἂ προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς, εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς. | 'Be sure you say nothing to anybody. Go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering laid down by Moses for your cleansing; that will certify the cure.' | |
| 45 | ὁ δὲ ἐξελθὼν ἠρξατο κηρύσσειν πολλὰ καὶ διαφημίζειν τὸν λόγον, ὡστε μηκέτι αὐτὸν δύνασθαι φανερῶς εἰς πόλιν εἰσελθεῖν, ἀλλ' ἐξω ἐπ' ἐρήμοις τόποις ἦν· καὶ ἠρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντοθεν. | But the man went out and made the whole story public; he spread it far and wide, until Jesus could no longer show himself in any town, but stayed outside in the open country. Even so, people kept coming to him from all quarters. | |
