1Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ὑπὲρ τῆς ἀντιλήμψεως τῆς ἑωθινῆς· ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ. Sufferings & Hope for the Virtuous Man. Psalm 22(v21)[To the choirmaster: according to The Hind of the Dawn. A Psalm of David.]לַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל־אַיֶּלֶת הַשַּׁחַר מִזְמֹור לְדָוִד׃ 1
2Ὁ θεὸς ὁ θεός μου, πρόσχες μοι· ἵνα τί ἐγκατέλιπές με;
μακρὰν ἀπὸ τῆς σωτηρίας μου οἱ λόγοι τῶν παραπτωμά των μου.
 Antiphonal Psalm for solemn Entry into the Sanctuary. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Why art thou so far from helping me, from the words of my groaning?
אֵלִי אֵלִי לָמָה עֲזַבְתָּנִי רָחֹוק מִישׁוּעָתִי דִּבְרֵי שַׁאֲגָתִי׃ 2
3ὁ θεός μου, κεκράξομαι ἡμέρας, καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούσῃ,
καὶ νυκτός, καὶ οὐκ εἰς ἄνοιαν ἐμοί.
  O my God, I cry by day, but thou dost not answer;
and by night, but find no rest.
אֱלֹהַי אֶקְרָא יֹוםָם וְלֹא תַעֲנֶה וְלַיְלָה וְלֹא־דוּמִיָּה לִי׃ 3
4σὺ δὲ ἐν ἁγίοις κατοικεῖς, ὁ ἔπαινος Ισραηλ.
  Yet thou art holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.
וְאַתָּה קָדֹושׁ יֹושֵׁב תְּהִלֹּות יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ 4
5ἐπὶ σοὶ ἤλπισαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν,
ἤλπισαν, καὶ ἐρρύσω αὐτούς·
  In thee our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
בְּךָ בָּטְחוּ אֲבֹתֵינוּ בָּטְחוּ וַתְּפַלְּטֵמֹו׃ 5
6πρὸς σὲ ἐκέκραξαν καὶ ἐσώθησαν,
ἐπὶ σοὶ ἤλπισαν καὶ οὐ κατῃσχύνθησαν.
  To thee they cried, and were saved;
n thee they trusted, and were not disappointed.
אֵלֶיךָ זָעֲקוּ וְנִמְלָטוּ בְּךָ בָטְחוּ וְלֹא־בֹושׁוּ׃ 6
7ἐγὼ δέ εἰμι σκώληξ καὶ οὐκ ἄνθρωπος,
ὄνειδος ἀνθρώπου καὶ ἐξουδένημα λαοῦ.
  But I am a worm, and no man;
scorned by men, and despised by the people.
וְאָנֹכִי תֹולַעַת וְלֹא־אִישׁ חֶרְפַּת אָדָם וּבְזוּי עָם׃ 7
8πάντες οἱ θεωροῦντές με ἐξεμυκτήρισάν με,
ἐλάλησαν ἐν χείλεσιν, ἐκίνησαν κεφαλήν
  All who see me mock at me,
they make mouths at me, they wag their heads;
כָּל־רֹאַי יַלְעִגוּ לִי יַפְטִירוּ בְשָׂפָה יָנִיעוּ רֹאשׁ׃ 8
9Ἤλπισεν ἐπὶ κύριον, ῥυσάσθω αὐτόν·
σωσάτω αὐτόν, ὅτι θέλει αὐτόν.
  "He committed his cause to the LORD;
let him deliver him, let him rescue him, for he delights in him!"
גֹּל אֶל־יְהוָה יְפַלְּטֵהוּ יַצִּילֵהוּ כִּי חָפֵץ בֹּו׃ 9
10ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ ἐκσπάσας με ἐκ γαστρός,
ἡ ἐλπίς μου ἀπὸ μαστῶν τῆς μητρός μου·
  Yet thou art he who took me from the womb;
thou didst keep me safe upon my mother's breasts.
כִּי־אַתָּה גֹחִי מִבָּטֶן מַבְטִיחִי עַל־שְׁדֵי אִמִּי׃ 10
11ἐπὶ σὲ ἐπερρίφην ἐκ μήτρας,
ἐκ κοιλίας μητρός μου θεός μου εἶ σύ.
  Upon thee was I cast from my birth,
and since my mother bore me thou hast been my God.
עָלֶיךָ הָשְׁלַכְתִּי מֵרָחֶם מִבֶּטֶן אִמִּי אֵלִי אָתָּה׃ 11
12μὴ ἀποστῇς ἀπ' ἐμοῦ, ὅτι θλῖψις,
ἐγγύς, ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ βοηθῶν.
  Be not far from me,
for trouble is near and there is none to help.
אַל־תִּרְחַק מִמֶּנִּי כִּי־צָרָה קְרֹובָה כִּי־אֵין עֹוזֵר׃ 12
13περιεκύκλωσάν με μόσχοι πολλοί,
ταῦροι πίονες περιέσχον με·
  Many bulls encompass me,
strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
סְבָבוּנִי פָּרִים רַבִּים אַבִּירֵי בָשָׁן כִּתְּרוּנִי׃ 13
14ἤνοιξαν ἐπ' ἐμὲ τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν,
ὡς λέων ὁ ἁρπάζων καὶ ὠρυόμενος.
  they open wide their mouths at me,
like a ravening and roaring lion.
פָּצוּ עָלַי פִּיהֶם אַרְיֵה טֹרֵף וְשֹׁאֵג׃ 14
15ὡσεὶ ὕδωρ ἐξεχύθην
καὶ διεσκορπίσθη πάντα τὰ ὀστᾶ μου,
ἐγενήθη ἡ καρδία μου ὡσεὶ κηρὸς τηκόμενος ἐν μέσῳ τῆς κοιλίας μου·
  I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint;
my heart is like wax, it is melted within my breast;
כַּמַּיִם נִשְׁפַּכְתִּי וְהִתְפָּרְדוּ כָּל־עַצְמֹותָי
הָיָה לִבִּי כַּדֹּונָג נָמֵס בְּתֹוךְ מֵעָי׃ 		15
16ἐξηράνθη ὡς ὄστρακον ἡ ἰσχύς μου,
καὶ ἡ γλῶσσά μου κεκόλληται τῷ λάρυγγί μου,
καὶ εἰς χοῦν θανάτου κατήγαγές με.
  my strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue cleaves to my jaws;
thou dost lay me in the dust of death.
יָבֵשׁ כַּחֶרֶשׂ כֹּחִי וּלְשֹׁונִי מֻדְבָּק מַלְקֹוחָי
וְלַעֲפַר־מָוֶת תִּשְׁפְּתֵנִי׃ 		16
17ὅτι ἐκύκλωσάν με κύνες πολλοί,
συναγωγὴ πονηρευομένων περιέσχον με,
ὤρυξαν χεῖράς μου καὶ πόδας.
  Yea, dogs are round about me;
a company of evildoers encircle me;
they have pierced my hands and feet -
כִּי סְבָבוּנִי כְּלָבִים עֲדַת מְרֵעִים הִקִּיפוּנִי
כָּאֲרִי יָדַי וְרַגְלָי׃ 		17
18ἐξηρίθμησα πάντα τὰ ὀστᾶ μου,
αὐτοὶ δὲ κατενόησαν καὶ ἐπεῖδόν με.
  I can count all my bones -
they stare and gloat over me;
אֲסַפֵּר כָּל־עַצְמֹותָי הֵמָּה יַבִּיטוּ יִרְאוּ־בִי׃ 18
19διεμερίσαντο τὰ ἱμάτιά μου ἑαυτοῖς,
καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἱματισμόν μου ἔβαλον κλῆρον.
  they divide my garments among them,
and for my raiment they cast lots.
יְחַלְּקוּ בְגָדַי לָהֶם וְעַל־לְבוּשִׁי יַפִּילוּ גֹורָל׃ 19
20σὺ δέ, κύριε, μὴ μακρύνῃς τὴν βοήθειάν μου,
εἰς τὴν ἀντίλημψίν μου πρόσχες.
  But thou, O LORD, be not far off!
O thou my help, hasten to my aid!
וְאַתָּה יְהוָה אַל־תִּרְחָק אֱיָלוּתִי לְעֶזְרָתִי חוּשָׁה׃ 20
21ῥῦσαι ἀπὸ ῥομφαίας τὴν ψυχήν μου,
καὶ ἐκ χειρὸς κυνὸς τὴν μονογενῆ μου·
  Deliver my soul from the sword,
my life from the power of the dog!
הַצִּילָה מֵחֶרֶב נַפְשִׁי מִיַּד־כֶּלֶב יְחִידָתִי׃ 21
22σῶσόν με ἐκ στόματος λέοντος,
καὶ ἀπὸ κεράτων μονοκερώτων τὴν ταπείνωσίν μου.
  Save me from the mouth of the lion,
my afflicted soul from the horns of the wild oxen!
הֹושִׁיעֵנִי מִפִּי אַרְיֵה וּמִקַּרְנֵי רֵמִים עֲנִיתָנִי׃ 22
23διηγήσομαι τὸ ὄνομά σου τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς μου,
ἐν μέσῳ ἐκκλησίας ὑμνήσω σε
  I will tell of thy name to my brethren;
in the midst of the congregation I will praise thee:
אֲסַפְּרָה שִׁמְךָ לְאֶחָי בְּתֹוךְ קָהָל אֲהַלְלֶךָּ׃ 23
24Οἱ φοβούμενοι κύριον, αἰνέσατε αὐτόν,
ἅπαν τὸ σπέρμα Ιακωβ, δοξάσατε αὐτόν,
φοβηθήτωσαν αὐτὸν ἅπαν τὸ σπέρμα Ισραηλ,
  You who fear the LORD, praise him!
all you sons of Jacob, glorify him,
and stand in awe of him, all you sons of Israel!
יִרְאֵי יְהוָה הַלְלוּהוּ כָּל־זֶרַע יַעֲקֹב כַּבְּדוּהוּ
וְגוּרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ כָּל־זֶרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ 		24
25ὅτι οὐκ ἐξουδένωσεν οὐδὲ προσώχθισεν τῇ δεήσει τοῦ πτωχοῦ,
οὐδὲ ἀπέστρεψεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἀπ' ἐμοῦ,
καὶ ἐν τῷ κεκραγέναι με πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰσήκουσέν μου.
  For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
and he has not hid his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.
כִּי לֹא־בָזָה וְלֹא שִׁקַּץ עֱנוּת עָנִי
וְלֹא־הִסְתִּיר פָּנָיו מִמֶּנּוּ וּבְשַׁוְּעֹו אֵלָיו שָׁמֵעַ׃ 		25
26παρὰ σοῦ ὁ ἔπαινός μου ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ μεγάλῃ,
τὰς εὐχάς μου ἀποδώσω ἐνώπιον τῶν φοβουμένων αὐτόν.
  From thee comes my praise in the great congregation;
my vows I will pay before those who fear him.
מֵאִתְּכָ תְהִלָּתִי בְּקָהָל רָב נְדָרַי אֲשַׁלֵּם נֶגֶד יְרֵאָיו׃ 26
27φάγονται πένητες καὶ ἐμπλησθήσονται,
καὶ αἰνέσουσιν κύριον οἱ ἐκζητοῦντες αὐτόν·
ζήσονται αἱ καρδίαι αὐτῶν εἰς αἰῶνα αἰῶνος.
  The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied;
those who seek him shall praise the LORD!
May your hearts live for ever!
יֹאכְלוּ עֲנָוִים וְיִשְׂבָּעוּ יְהַלְלוּ יְהוָה דֹּרְשָׁיו
יְחִי לְבַבְכֶם לָעַד׃ 		27
28μνησθήσονται καὶ ἐπιστραφήσονται πρὸς κύριον πάντα τὰ πέρατα τῆς γῆς,
καὶ προσκυνήσουσιν ἐνώπιόν σου πᾶσαι αἱ πατριαὶ τῶν ἐθνῶν,
  All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD;
and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.
יִזְכְּרוּ וְיָשֻׁבוּ אֶל־יְהוָה כָּל־אַפְסֵי־אָרֶץ
וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְפָנֶיךָ כָּל־מִשְׁפְּחֹות גֹּויִם׃ 		28
29ὅτι τοῦ κυρίου ἡ βασιλεία,
καὶ αὐτὸς δεσπόζει τῶν ἐθνῶν.
  For dominion belongs to the LORD,
and he rules over the nations.
כִּי לַיהוָה הַמְּלוּכָה וּמֹשֵׁל בַּגֹּויִם׃ 29
30ἔφαγον καὶ προσεκύνησαν πάντες οἱ πίονες τῆς γῆς,
ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ προπεσοῦνται πάντες οἱ καταβαίνοντες εἰς τὴν γῆν·
καὶ ἡ ψυχή μου αὐτῷ ζῇ.
  Yea, to him shall all the proud of the earth bow down;
before him shall bow all who go down to the dust,
and he who cannot keep himself alive.
אָכְלוּ וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ כָּל־דִּשְׁנֵי־אֶרֶץ לְפָנָיו יִכְרְעוּ כָּל־יֹורְדֵי עָפָר
וְנַפְשֹׁו לֹא חִיָּה׃ 		30
31καὶ τὸ σπέρμα μου δουλεύσει αὐτῷ·
ἀναγγελήσεται τῷ κυρίῳ γενεὰ ἡ ἐρχομένη,
  Posterity shall serve him;
men shall tell of the Lord to the coming generation,
זֶרַע יַעַבְדֶנּוּ
יְסֻפַּר לַאדֹנָי לַדֹּור׃ 		31
32καὶ ἀναγγελοῦσιν τὴν δικαιοσύνην αὐτοῦ,
λαῷ τῷ τεχθησομένῳ, ὅτι ἐποίησεν ὁ κύριος.
  and proclaim his deliverance to a people unborn,
that he has wrought it.		יָבֹאוּ וְיַגִּידוּ צִדְקָתֹו לְעַם נֹולָד כִּי עָשָׂה׃ 32
