1Καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἰσέλθῃς εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι ἐν κλήρῳ, καὶ κατακληρονομήσῃς αὐτὴν καὶ κατοικήσῃς ἐπ' αὐτῆς, And it shall be when you shall have entered into the land, which the Lord your God gives you to inherit it, and you shall have inherited it, and you shall have dwelt upon it, Harvest offerings. Dt.26.1-15"When you come into the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and have taken possession of it, and live in it, וְהָיָה כִּי־תָבֹוא אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ נַחֲלָה וִירִשְׁתָּהּ וְיָשַׁבְתָּ בָּהּ׃ 1
2καὶ λήμψῃ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀπαρχῆς τῶν καρπῶν τῆς γῆς σου, ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι, καὶ ἐμβαλεῖς εἰς κάρταλλον καὶ πορεύσῃ εἰς τὸν τόπον, ὃν ἂν ἐκλέξηται κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐπικληθῆναι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ, that you shall take of the first of the fruits of your land, which the Lord your God gives you, and you shall put them into a basket, and you shall go to the place which the Lord your God shall choose to have his name called there.  you shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the LORD your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket, and you shall go to the place which the LORD your God will choose, to make his name to dwell there. וְלָקַחְתָּ מֵרֵאשִׁית כָּל־פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר תָּבִיא מֵאַרְצְךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ וְשַׂמְתָּ בַטֶּנֶא וְהָלַכְתָּ אֶל־הַמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמֹו שָׁם׃ 2
3καὶ ἐλεύσῃ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα, ὃς ἐὰν ᾖ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν Ἀναγγέλλω σήμερον κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ μου ὅτι εἰσελήλυθα εἰς τὴν γῆν, ἣν ὤμοσεν κύριος τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν δοῦναι ἡμῖν. And you shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and you shall say to him, I testify this day to the Lord my God, that I am come into the land which the Lord sware to our fathers to give to us.  And you shall go to the priest who is in office at that time, and say to him, 'I declare this day to the LORD your God that I have come into the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.' וּבָאתָ אֶל־הַכֹּהֵן אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו הִגַּדְתִּי הַיֹּום לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי־בָאתִי אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע יְהוָה לַאֲבֹתֵינוּ לָתֶת לָנוּ׃ 3
4καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸν κάρταλλον ἐκ τῶν χειρῶν σου καὶ θήσει αὐτὸν ἀπέναντι τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου, And the priest shall take the basket out of your hands, and shall set it before the altar of the Lord your God:  Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God. וְלָקַח הַכֹּהֵן הַטֶּנֶא מִיָּדֶךָ וְהִנִּיחֹו לִפְנֵי מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ׃ 4
5καὶ ἀποκριθήσῃ καὶ ἐρεῖς ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου Συρίαν ἀπέβαλεν ὁ πατήρ μου καὶ κατέβη εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ παρῴκησεν ἐκεῖ ἐν ἀριθμῷ βραχεῖ καὶ ἐγένετο ἐκεῖ εἰς ἔθνος μέγα καὶ πλῆθος πολὺ καὶ μέγα· and he shall answer and say before the Lord your God, My father abandoned Syria, and went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a small number, and became there a mighty nation and a great multitude.  "And you shall make response before the LORD your God, 'A wandering Aramean was my father; and he went down into Egypt and sojourned there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous. וְעָנִיתָ וְאָמַרְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲרַמִּי אֹבֵד אָבִי וַיֵּרֶד מִצְרַיְמָה וַיָּגָר שָׁם בִּמְתֵי מְעָט וַיְהִי־שָׁם לְגֹוי גָּדֹול עָצוּם וָרָב׃ 5
6καὶ ἐκάκωσαν ἡμᾶς οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ ἐταπείνωσαν ἡμᾶς καὶ ἐπέθηκαν ἡμῖν ἔργα σκληρά· And the Egyptians afflicted us, and humbled us, and imposed hard tasks on us:  And the Egyptians treated us harshly, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage. וַיָּרֵעוּ אֹתָנוּ הַמִּצְרִים וַיְעַנּוּנוּ וַיִּתְּנוּ עָלֵינוּ עֲבֹדָה קָשָׁה׃ 6
7καὶ ἀνεβοήσαμεν πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν, καὶ εἰσήκουσεν κύριος τῆς φωνῆς ἡμῶν καὶ εἶδεν τὴν ταπείνωσιν ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν μόχθον ἡμῶν καὶ τὸν θλιμμὸν ἡμῶν· and we cried to the Lord our God, and the Lord heard our voice, and saw our humiliation, and our labour, and our affliction.  Then we cried to the LORD the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice, and saw our affliction, our toil, and our oppression; וַנִּצְעַק אֶל־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֵינוּ וַיִּשְׁמַע יְהוָה אֶת־קֹלֵנוּ וַיַּרְא אֶת־עָנְיֵנוּ וְאֶת־עֲמָלֵנוּ וְאֶת־לַחֲצֵנוּ׃ 7
8καὶ ἐξήγαγεν ἡμᾶς κύριος ἐξ Αἰγύπτου αὐτὸς ἐν ἰσχύι μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι αὐτοῦ τῷ ὑψηλῷ καὶ ἐν ὁράμασιν μεγάλοις καὶ ἐν σημείοις καὶ ἐν τέρασιν And the Lord brought us out of Egypt himself with his great strength, and his mighty hand, and his high arm, and with great visions, and with signs, and with wonders.  and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror, with signs and wonders; וַיֹּוצִאֵנוּ יְהוָה מִמִּצְרַיִם בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרֹעַ נְטוּיָה וּבְמֹרָא גָּדֹל וּבְאֹתֹות וּבְמֹפְתִים׃ 8
9καὶ εἰσήγαγεν ἡμᾶς εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον καὶ ἔδωκεν ἡμῖν τὴν γῆν ταύτην, γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι· And he brought us into this place, and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.  and he brought us into this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. וַיְבִאֵנוּ אֶל־הַמָּקֹום הַזֶּה וַיִּתֶּן־לָנוּ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ׃ 9
10καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ ἐνήνοχα τὴν ἀπαρχὴν τῶν γενημάτων τῆς γῆς, ἧς ἔδωκάς μοι, κύριε, γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι. καὶ ἀφήσεις αὐτὰ ἀπέναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ προσκυνήσεις ἐκεῖ ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου· And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruits of the land, which you gave me, O Lord, a land flowing with milk and honey: and you shall leave it before the Lord your God, and you shall worship before the Lord your God;  And behold, now I bring the first of the fruit of the ground, which thou, O LORD, hast given me.' And you shall set it down before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God; וְעַתָּה הִנֵּה הֵבֵאתִי אֶת־רֵאשִׁית פְּרִי הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַתָּה לִּי יְהוָה וְהִנַּחְתֹּו לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִיתָ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ׃ 10
11καὶ εὐφρανθήσῃ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἀγαθοῖς, οἷς ἔδωκέν σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου καὶ τῇ οἰκίᾳ σου, σὺ καὶ ὁ Λευίτης καὶ ὁ προσήλυτος ὁ ἐν σοί. and you shall rejoice in all the good [things, which the Lord your God has given you, [you and your family, and the Levite, and the stranger that is within you.  and you shall rejoice in all the good which the LORD your God has given to you and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the sojourner who is among you. וְשָׂמַחְתָּ בְכָל־הַטֹּוב אֲשֶׁר נָתַן־לְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וּלְבֵיתֶךָ אַתָּה וְהַלֵּוִי וְהַגֵּר אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ׃ ס 11
12Ἑὰν δὲ συντελέσῃς ἀποδεκατῶσαι πᾶν τὸ ἐπιδέκατον τῶν γενημάτων τῆς γῆς σου ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ τρίτῳ, τὸ δεύτερον ἐπιδέκατον δώσεις τῷ Λευίτῃ καὶ τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ὀρφανῷ καὶ τῇ χήρᾳ, καὶ φάγονται ἐν ταῖς πόλεσίν σου καὶ ἐμπλησθήσονται. And when you shall have completed all the tithings of your fruits in the third year, you shall give the second tenth to the Levite, and stranger, and fatherless, and widow; and they shall eat it in your cities, and be merry.  "When you have finished paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, which is the year of tithing, giving it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your towns and be filled, כִּי תְכַלֶּה לַעְשֵׂר אֶת־כָּל־מַעְשַׂר תְּבוּאָתְךָ בַּשָּׁנָה הַשְּׁלִישִׁת שְׁנַת הַמַּעֲשֵׂר וְנָתַתָּה לַלֵּוִי לַגֵּר לַיָּתֹום וְלָאַלְמָנָה וְאָכְלוּ בִשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְשָׂבֵעוּ׃ 12
13καὶ ἐρεῖς ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου Ἑξεκάθαρα τὰ ἅγια ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας μου καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτὰ τῷ Λευίτῃ καὶ τῷ προσηλύτῳ καὶ τῷ ὀρφανῷ καὶ τῇ χήρᾳ κατὰ πάσας τὰς ἐντολάς, ἃς ἐνετείλω μοι· οὐ παρῆλθον τὴν ἐντολήν σου καὶ οὐκ ἐπελαθόμην· And you shall say before the Lord your God, I have fully collected the holy things out of my house, and I have given them to the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, according to all commands which you commanded me: I did not transgress your command, and I did not forget it.  then you shall say before the LORD your God, 'I have removed the sacred portion out of my house, and moreover I have given it to the Levite, the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me; I have not transgressed any of thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them; וְאָמַרְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בִּעַרְתִּי הַקֹּדֶשׁ מִן־הַבַּיִת וְגַם נְתַתִּיו לַלֵּוִי וְלַגֵּר לַיָּתֹום וְלָאַלְמָנָה כְּכָל־מִצְוָתְךָ אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָנִי לֹא־עָבַרְתִּי מִמִּצְוֹתֶיךָ וְלֹא שָׁכָחְתִּי׃ 13
14καὶ οὐκ ἔφαγον ἐν ὀδύνῃ μου ἀπ' αὐτῶν, οὐκ ἐκάρπωσα ἀπ' αὐτῶν εἰς ἀκάθαρτον, οὐκ ἔδωκα ἀπ' αὐτῶν τῷ τεθνηκότι· ὑπήκουσα τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ μου, ἐποίησα καθὰ ἐνετείλω μοι. And in my distress I did not eat of them, I have not gathered of them for an unclean purpose, I have not given of them to the dead; I have listened to the voice of the Lord our God, I have done as you have commanded me.  I have not eaten of the tithe while I was mourning, or removed any of it while I was unclean, or offered any of it to the dead; I have obeyed the voice of the LORD my God, I have done according to all that thou hast commanded me. לֹא־אָכַלְתִּי בְאֹנִי מִמֶּנּוּ וְלֹא־בִעַרְתִּי מִמֶּנּוּ בְּטָמֵא וְלֹא־נָתַתִּי מִמֶּנּוּ לְמֵת שָׁמַעְתִּי בְּקֹול יְהוָה אֱלֹהָי עָשִׂיתִי כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתָנִי׃ 14
15κάτιδε ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ ἁγίου σου ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ εὐλόγησον τὸν λαόν σου τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ τὴν γῆν, ἣν ἔδωκας αὐτοῖς, καθὰ ὤμοσας τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν δοῦναι ἡμῖν γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι. Look down from your holy house, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the land which you have given them, as you swore to our fathers, to give to us a land flowing with milk and honey.  Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel and the ground which thou hast given us, as thou didst swear to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.' הַשְׁקִיפָה מִמְּעֹון קָדְשְׁךָ מִן־הַשָּׁמַיִם וּבָרֵךְ אֶת־עַמְּךָ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֵת הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר נָתַתָּה לָנוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתָּ לַאֲבֹתֵינוּ אֶרֶץ זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבָשׁ׃ ס 15
16Ἑν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐνετείλατό σοι ποιῆσαι πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα καὶ τὰ κρίματα, καὶ φυλάξεσθε καὶ ποιήσετε αὐτὰ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας ὑμῶν καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς ὑμῶν. On this day the Lord your God charged you to keep all the ordinances and judgments; and you shall observe and do them, with all your heart, and with all your soul. Commandment to obey the Law. Dt.26.16-19"This day the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and ordinances; you shall therefore be careful to do them with all your heart and with all your soul. הַיֹּום הַזֶּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מְצַוְּךָ לַעֲשֹׂות אֶת־הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה וְאֶת־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים וְשָׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֹותָם בְּכָל־לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל־נַפְשֶׁךָ׃ 16
17τὸν θεὸν εἵλου σήμερον εἶναί σου θεὸν καὶ πορεύεσθαι ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ φυλάσσεσθαι τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα αὐτοῦ καὶ ὑπακούειν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ· You have chosen God this day to be your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to observe his ordinances and judgments, and to listen to his voice.  You have declared this day concerning the LORD that he is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his ordinances, and will obey his voice; אֶת־יְהוָה הֶאֱמַרְתָּ הַיֹּום לִהְיֹות לְךָ לֵאלֹהִים וְלָלֶכֶת בִּדְרָכָיו וְלִשְׁמֹר חֻקָּיו וּמִצְוֹתָיו וּמִשְׁפָּטָיו וְלִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקֹלֹו׃ 17
18καὶ κύριος εἵλατό σε σήμερον γενέσθαι σε αὐτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον, καθάπερ εἶπέν σοι, φυλάσσειν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ And the Lord has chosen you this day that you should be to him a peculiar people, as he said, to keep his commands;  and the LORD has declared this day concerning you that you are a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments, וַיהוָה הֶאֱמִירְךָ הַיֹּום לִהְיֹות לֹו לְעַם סְגֻלָּה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר־לָךְ וְלִשְׁמֹר כָּל־מִצְוֹתָיו׃ 18
19καὶ εἶναί σε ὑπεράνω πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν, ὡς ἐποίησέν σε ὀνομαστὸν καὶ καύχημα καὶ δόξαστόν, εἶναί σε λαὸν ἅγιον κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου, καθὼς ἐλάλησεν. and that you should be above all nations, as he has made you renowned, and a boast, and glorious, that you should be a holy people to the Lord your God, as he has spoken.  that he will set you high above all nations that he has made, in praise and in fame and in honor, and that you shall be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he has spoken." וּלְתִתְּךָ עֶלְיֹון עַל כָּל־הַגֹּויִם אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לִתְהִלָּה וּלְשֵׁם וּלְתִפְאָרֶת וְלִהְיֹתְךָ עַם־קָדֹשׁ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֵּר׃ ס 19
