Moses my servant is dead; now then arise go over Jordan thou and all this people into the land which I give them.
3πᾶς ὁ τόπος, ἐφ' ὃν ἂν ἐπιβῆτε τῷ ἴχνει τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν, ὑμῖν δώσω αὐτόν, ὃν τρόπον εἴρηκα τῷ Μωυσῇ, Every spot on which ye shall tread I will give it to you as I said to Moses.
Not a man shall stand against you all the days of thy life; and as I was with Moses so will I also be with thee and I will not fail thee or neglect thee.
Be strong and 'quit thyself like a man for thou shalt divide the land to this people which I sware to give to your fathers.
Be strong therefore and quit thyself like a man to observe and do as Moses my servant commanded thee; and thou shalt not turn therefrom to the right hand or to the left that thou mayest be wise in whatsoever thou mayest do.
And the book of this law shall not depart out of thy mouth and thou shalt meditate in it day and night that thou mayest know how to do all the things that are written [in it]; then shalt thou prosper and make thy ways prosperous and then shalt thou be wis
Lo! I have commanded thee; be strong and courageous be not cowardly nor fearful for the Lord thy God is with thee in all places whither thou goest.

Go into the midst of the camp of the people and command the people saying Prepare provisions; for yet three days and ye shall go over this Jordan entering in to take possession of the land
12καὶ τῷ Ρουβην καὶ τῷ Γαδ καὶ τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασση εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς And to Ruben and to Gad and to the half tribe of Manasse Joshua said
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you saying the Lord your God has caused you to rest and has given you this land.
14αἱ γυναῖκες ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ παιδία ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ κτήνη ὑμῶν κατοικείτωσαν ἐν τῇ γῇ, ᾗ ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν· ὑμεῖς δὲ διαβήσεσθε εὔζωνοι πρότεροι τῶν ἀδελφῶν ὑμῶν, πᾶς ὁ ἰσχύων, καὶ συμμαχήσετε αὐτοῖς, Let your wives and your children and your cattle dwell in the land which he has given you; and ye shall go over well armed before your brethren every one of you who is strong; and ye shall fight on their side;
15ἕως ἂν καταπαύσῃ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς ὑμῶν ὥσπερ καὶ ὑμᾶς καὶ κληρονομήσωσιν καὶ οὗτοι τὴν γῆν, ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν δίδωσιν αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἀπελεύσεσθε ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ, ἣν δέδωκεν ὑμῖν Μωϋσῆς εἰς τὸ πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἀπ' ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου. until the Lord your God shall have given your brethren rest as also to you and they also shall have inherited the land which the Lord your God gives them; then ye shall depart each one to his inheritance which Moses gave you beyond Jordan eastward.
16καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ Ἰησοῖ εἶπαν Πάντα, ὅσα ἂν ἐντείλῃ ἡμῖν, ποιήσομεν καὶ εἰς πάντα τόπον, οὗ ἐὰν ἀποστείλῃς ἡμᾶς, πορευσόμεθα· And they answered Joshua and said We will do all things which thou commandest us and we will go to every place whither thou shalt send us.
Whereinsoever we hearkened to Moses we will hearken to thee; only let the Lord our God be with thee as he was with Moses.
And whosoever shall disobey thee and whosoever shall not hearken to thy words as thou shalt command him let him die; but be thou strong and courageous.

Notes:The Old Testament in Greek is Rahlf's LXX available in Word format at the Tyndale website, adapted to database format.
The alternative readings of the LXX - Judges (Alexandrinus), Daniel, Susanna & Bel (LXX received text), and Tobit (Sinaiticus [not printed in Swete]) as separate book references so that they can be viewed as an alternative text in parallel with the primary text.
(I have reversed the Swete presentation for Daniel, Susanna, Bel by listing in the later Theodotion LXX text as the main text.)
The LXX cross references to the Hebrew Bible have been extensively revised using those set out in Swete's 'Old Testament in Greek' publications between 1894 and 1909, amended in part to agree with verses as printed in the Biblia Hebraica 1937 publication).
Some verse cross references in Swete's had to be amended to agree with the BHS verse numbering, and there may well be some mismatches that I haven't yet picked up on. (If you find any errors please e-mail me.)
Hebrew Bible has been adapted from the BHS in Word format at Tyndale.
The Septuagint in English ( translated by Sir Lancelot CL Brenton) - is used here only for the books of the Hebrew Bible.
The Revised Standard Version: This generally follows the Hebrew Bible for the canonical OT so I have included the RSV Aprocrypha for the Greek books not covered by Brenton.
Ecclesiasticus - Sirach Chs.30-36: The text of these chapters from 30.24 to 36.16, is disordered.
I have followed Swete's verse numbering for the greek text.
Also, the RSV verse numbering differs from the NRSV.
The NRSV appears to have followed Swete's numbering here, so I have re-ordered the RSV to agree with both the NRSV & Swete for these chapters.

Passage headings are generally as printed in the Bible Society's "Good News Bible", 1976.
