| 1 | Καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἄρχοντες τοῦ λαοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ, καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τοῦ λαοῦ ἐβάλοσαν κλήρους ἐνέγκαι ἕνα ἀπὸ τῶν δέκα καθίσαι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ πόλει τῇ ἁγίᾳ καὶ ἐννέα μέρη ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν. |
And the chiefs of the people dwelt in Jerusalem: and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one of [every] ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city and nine parts in the [other] cities. | NEHEMIAH. Nehemiah's concern for Jerusalem. Ne.11.1-36 |
| 2 | καὶ εὐλόγησεν ὁ λαὸς τοὺς πάντας ἄνδρας τοὺς ἑκουσιαζομένους καθίσαι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ. |
And the people blessed all the men that volunteered to dwell in Jerusalem. | |
| 3 | Καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς χώρας, οἳ ἐκάθισαν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ· καὶ ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα ἐκάθισαν ἀνὴρ ἐν κατασχέσει αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν, Ισραηλ, οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ναθιναῖοι καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ δούλων Σαλωμων· |
Now these [are] the chiefs of the province who dwelt in Jerusalem and in the cities of Juda; [every] man dwelt in his possession in their cities: Israel the priests and the Levites and the Nathinim | |
| 4 | καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐκάθισαν ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Βενιαμιν. - ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα· Αθαια υἱὸς Αζαια υἱὸς Ζαχαρια υἱὸς Αμαρια υἱὸς Σαφατια υἱὸς Μαλεληλ καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Φαρες. |
And there dwelt in Jerusalem [some] of the children of Juda and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Juda; Athaia son of Azia the son of Zacharia the son of Samaria the son of Saphatia | |
| 5 | καὶ Μαασια υἱὸς Βαρουχ υἱὸς Χαλαζα υἱὸς Οζια υἱὸς Αδαια υἱὸς Ιωριβ υἱὸς Θηζια υἱὸς τοῦ Σηλωνι. |
and Maasia son of Baruch son of Chalaza son of Ozia son of Adaia son of Joarib | |
| 6 | πάντες υἱοὶ Φαρες οἱ καθήμενοι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ τετρακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἄνδρες δυνάμεως. - |
All the sons of Phares who dwelt in Jerusalem [were] four hundred and sixty-eight men of might. | |
| 7 | καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν· Σηλω υἱὸς Μεσουλαμ υἱὸς Ιωαδ υἱὸς Φαδαια υἱὸς Κωλια υἱὸς Μασαια υἱὸς Αιθιηλ υἱὸς Ιεσια· |
And these [were] the children of Benjamin; Selo son of Mesulam son of Joad son of Phadaia son of Coleia son of Maasias | |
| 8 | καὶ ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ Γηβι, Σηλι, ἐννακόσιοι εἴκοσι ὀκτώ. |
And after him Gebe Seli nine hundred and twenty-eight. | |
| 9 | καὶ Ιωηλ υἱὸς Ζεχρι ἐπίσκοπος ἐπ' αὐτούς, καὶ Ιουδας υἱὸς Ασανα ἐπὶ τῆς πόλεως δεύτερος. - |
And Joel son of Zechri [was] overseer over them: and Juda son of Asana was second in the city. | |
| 10 | ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων· καὶ Ιαδια υἱὸς Ιωριβ, Ιαχιν, |
Of the priests: both Jadia son of Joarib and Jachin. | |
| 11 | Σαραια υἱὸς Ελκια υἱὸς Μεσουλαμ υἱὸς Σαδδουκ υἱὸς Μαριωθ υἱὸς Αιτωβ ἀπέναντι οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ. |

| 12 | καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ποιοῦντες τὸ ἔργον τοῦ οἴκου· Αμασι υἱὸς Ζαχαρια υἱὸς Φασσουρ υἱὸς Μελχια, |
And their brethren doing the work of the house were eight hundred and twenty-two: and Adaia son of Jeroam son of Phalalia son of Amasi son of Zacharia son of Phassur | |
| 13 | ἄρχοντες πατριῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα δύο. καὶ Αμεσσαι υἱὸς Εσδριηλ, |
and his brethren chiefs of families two hundred and forty-two: and Amasia son of Esdriel son of Mesarimith son of Emmer | |
| 14 | καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δυνατοὶ παρατάξεως ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ, καὶ ἐπίσκοπος ἐπ' αὐτῶν Βαδιηλ. - |
and his brethren mighty men of war a hundred and twenty-eight: and [their] overseer [was] Badiel son of [one of the] great men. | |
| 15 | καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν Σαμαια υἱὸς Ασουβ υἱὸς Εζρι· |
And of the Levites; Samaia son of Esricam | |
| 17 | καὶ Μαθανια υἱὸς Μιχα καὶ Ωβηδ υἱὸς Σαμουι, |
Matthanias son of Micha and Jobeb son of Samui | |
| 18 | διακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα τέσσαρες. |
two hundred and eighty-four. | |
| 19 | καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ Ακουβ, Τελαμιν, καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα δύο. 22 καὶ ἐπίσκοπος Λευιτῶν υἱὸς Βανι, Οζι υἱὸς Ασαβια υἱὸς Μιχα. ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ασαφ τῶν ᾀδόντων ἀπέναντι ἔργου οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ· 23 ὅτι ἐντολὴ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐπ' αὐτούς. 24 καὶ Παθαια υἱὸς Βασηζα πρὸς χεῖρα τοῦ βασιλέως εἰς πᾶν ῥῆμα τῷ λαῷ. - 25 καὶ πρὸς τὰς ἐπαύλεις ἐν ἀγρῷ αὐτῶν. καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα ἐκάθισαν ἐν Καριαθαρβοκ 26 καὶ ἐν Ιησου 27 καὶ ἐν Βεηρσαβεε, 30 καὶ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν, Λαχις καὶ ἀγροὶ αὐτῆς· καὶ παρενεβάλοσαν ἐν Βεηρσαβεε. 31 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν ἀπὸ Γαβα, Μαχαμας. 36 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν μερίδες Ιουδα τῷ Βενιαμιν. |
And the porters; Acub Telamin and their brethren a hundred and seventy-two. | |
| 22 | καὶ ἐπίσκοπος Λευιτῶν υἱὸς Βανι, Οζι υἱὸς Ασαβια υἱὸς Μιχα. ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ασαφ τῶν ᾀδόντων ἀπέναντι ἔργου οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ· |
And the overseer of the Levites [was] the son of Bani son of Ozi son of Asabia the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph the singers [some were] over the house of God | |
| 23 | ὅτι ἐντολὴ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐπ' αὐτούς. |
For so was the king's commandment concerning them. | |
| 24 | καὶ Παθαια υἱὸς Βασηζα πρὸς χεῖρα τοῦ βασιλέως εἰς πᾶν ῥῆμα τῷ λαῷ. - |
And Phathaia son of Baseza was in attendance on the king in every matter for the people | |
| 25 | καὶ πρὸς τὰς ἐπαύλεις ἐν ἀγρῷ αὐτῶν. καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα ἐκάθισαν ἐν Καριαθαρβοκ |
and with regard to villages in their country district: and [some] of the children of Juda dwelt in Cariatharboc | |
| 26 | καὶ ἐν Ιησου |
and in Jesu | |
| 27 | καὶ ἐν Βεηρσαβεε, 30 καὶ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν, Λαχις καὶ ἀγροὶ αὐτῆς· καὶ παρενεβάλοσαν ἐν Βεηρσαβεε. 31 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν ἀπὸ Γαβα, Μαχαμας. 36 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν μερίδες Ιουδα τῷ Βενιαμιν. |
and in Bersabee: | |
| 30 | καὶ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν, Λαχις καὶ ἀγροὶ αὐτῆς· καὶ παρενεβάλοσαν ἐν Βεηρσαβεε. |
And their villages [were] Lachis and her hands: and they pitched their tents in Bersabee. | |
| 31 | καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν ἀπὸ Γαβα, Μαχαμας. 36 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν μερίδες Ιουδα τῷ Βενιαμιν. |
And the children of Benjamin [dwelt] from Gabaa [to] Machmas. | |
| 36 | καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν μερίδες Ιουδα τῷ Βενιαμιν. |
And of the Levites there were divisions to Juda [and] to Benjamin. | |
