9 ΠΣΑΛΜΟΙ ΣΟΛΟΜΩΝΤΟΣPSALMS OF SOLOMON - Brenton|RSVReference
Τῷ Σαλωμων· εἰς ἔλεγχον.
 Of Solomon. For rebuke. 
1Ἑν τῷ ἀπαχθῆναι Ισραηλ ἐν ἀποικεσίᾳ εἰς γῆν ἀλλοτρίαν,
ἐν τῷ ἀποστῆναι αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ κυρίου τοῦ λυτρωσαμένου αὐτοὺς,
 When Israel was led away captive into a strange land,
When they fell away from the Lord who redeemed them,		Psalm 9. PsSol.9.1-20
2ἀπερρίφησαν ἀπὸ κληρονομίας, ἧς ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς Κύριος.
ἐν παντὶ ἔθνει ἡ διασπορὰ τοῦ Ισραηλ κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦ θεοῦ,
 They were cast away from the inheritance, which Lord had given them.
Among every nation [were] the dispersed of Israel according to the word of God,		 
3 ἵνα δικαιωθῇς, ὁ θεός, ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἐν ταῖς ἀνο μίαις ἡμῶν,
 That Thou mightest be justified, O God, in Thy righteousness by reason of our transgressions: 
4ὅτι σὺ κριτὴς δίκαιος ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς λαοὺς τῆς γῆς.
 For Thou art a just judge over all the peoples of the earth. 
5οὐ γὰρ κρυβήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γνώσεώς σου πᾶς ποιῶν ἄδικα,
 For from Thy knowledge none that doeth unjustly is hidden, 
6καὶ αἱ δικαιοσύναι τῶν ὁσίων σου ἐνώπιόν σου, Κύριε·
καὶ ποῦ κρυβήσεται ἄνθρωπος ἀπὸ τῆς γνώσεώς σου, ὁ θεός;
 And the righteous deeds of Thy pious ones [are] before Thee, O Lord,
Where, then, can a man hide himself from Thy knowledge, O God?		 
7Τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν ἐν ἐκλογῇ καὶ ἐξουσίᾳ τῆς ψυχῆς ἡμῶν,
τοῦ ποιῆσαι δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἀδικίαν ἐν ἔργοις χειρῶν ἡμῶν·
 Our works are subject to our own choice and power
To do right or wrong in the works of our hands		 
8καὶ ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἐπισκέπτῃ υἱοὺς ἀνθρώπων.
 And in Thy righteousness Thou visitest the sons of men. 
9ὁ ποιῶν δικαιοσύνην θησαυρίζει ζωὴν αὑτῷ παρὰ Κυρίῳ,
καὶ ὁ ποιῶν ἀδικίαν αὐτὸς αἴτιος τῆς ψυχῆς ἐν ἀπωλείᾳ·
 He that doeth righteousness layeth up life for himself with the Lord;
And he that doeth wrongly forfeits his life to destruction;		 
10τὰ γὰρ κρίματα κυρίου ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ κατ' ἄνδρα καὶ οἶκον.
 For the judgments of the Lord are [given] in righteousness to [every] man and [his] house. 
11τίνι χρηστεύσῃ, ὁ θεός, εἰ μὴ τοῖς ἐπικαλουμένοις τὸν κύριον;
 Unto whom art Thou good, O God, except to them that call upon the Lord? 
12καθαριεῖς ἐν ἁμαρτίαις ψυχὴν ἐν ἐξομολογήσει, ἐν ἐξαγορίαις,
 He cleanseth from sins a soul when it maketh confession, when it maketh acknowledgement; 
13ὅτι αἰσχύνη ἡμῖν καὶ τοῖς προσώποις ἡμῶν περὶ ἁπάντων.
 For shame is upon us and upon our faces on account of all these things. 
14καὶ τίνι ἀφήσεις ἁμαρτίας εἰ μὴ τοῖς ἡμαρτηκόσιν;
 And to whom doth He forgive sins, except to them that have sinned? 
15δικαίους εὐλογήσεις καὶ οὐκ εὐθυνεῖς περὶ ὧν ἡμάρτοσαν,
καὶ ἡ χρηστότης σου ἐπὶ ἁμαρτάνοντας ἐν μεταμελείᾳ.
 Thou blessest the righteous, and dost not reprove them for the sins that they have committed;
And Thy goodness is upon them that sin, when they repent.		 
16Καὶ νῦν σὺ ὁ θεός, καὶ ἡμεῖς λαός, ὃν ἠγάπησας·
ἰδὲ καὶ οἰκτίρησον, ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ, ὅτι σοί ἐσμεν,
καὶ μὴ ἀποστήσῃς ἔλεός σου ἀφ' ἡμῶν,
ἵνα μὴ ἐπιθῶνται ἡμῖν.
 And, now, Thou art our God, and we the people whom Thou hast loved:
Behold and show pity, O God of Israel, for we are Thine;
And remove not Thy mercy from us, lest they assail us.		 
17ὅτι σὺ ᾑρετίσω τὸ σπέρμα Αβρααμ παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη,
 For Thou didst choose the seed of Abraham before all the nations, 
18καὶ ἔθου τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐφ' ἡμᾶς, κύριε, καὶ οὐκ ἀπώσῃ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.
 And didst set Thy name upon us, O Lord,
And Thou wilt not reject [us] for ever.		 
19ἐν διαθήκῃ διέθου τοῖς πατράσιν ἡμῶν περὶ ἡμῶν,
καὶ ἡμεῖς ἐλπιοῦμεν ἐπὶ σὲ ἐν ἐπιστροφῇ ψυχῆς ἡμῶν.
 Thou madest a covenant with our fathers concerning us;
And we hope in Thee, when our soul turneth [unto Thee].		 
20τοῦ κυρίου ἡ ἐλεημοσύνη ἐπὶ οἶκον Ισραηλ
εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ ἔτι.
 The mercy of the Lord be upon the house of Israel for ever and ever.

Notes:

The Old Testament in Greek is Rahlf's LXX available in Word format at the Tyndale website, adapted to database format.
The alternative readings of the LXX - Judges (Alexandrinus), Daniel, Susanna & Bel (LXX received text), and Tobit (Sinaiticus [not printed in Swete]) as separate book references so that they can be viewed as an alternative text in parallel with the primary text.
(I have reversed the Swete presentation for Daniel, Susanna, Bel by listing in the later Theodotion LXX text as the main text. )
The LXX cross references to the Hebrew Bible have been extensively revised using those set out in Swete's 'Old Testament in Greek' publications between 1894 and 1909, amended in part to agree with verses as printed in the Biblia Hebraica (1937 publication).
Some verse cross references in Swete's had to be amended to agree with the BHS verse numbering, and there may well be some mismatches that I haven't yet picked up on. (If you find any errors please e-mail me.)
Hebrew Bible has been adapted from the BHS in Word format at Tyndale.
The Septuagint in English ( translated by Sir Lancelot CL Brenton) - is used here only for the books of the Hebrew Bible.
The Revised Standard Version: This generally follows the Hebrew Bible for the canonical OT so I have included the RSV Aprocrypha for the Greek books not covered by Brenton.
Ecclesiasticus - Sirach Chs.30-36: The text of these chapters from 30.24 to 36.16, is disordered.
I have followed Swete's verse numbering for the greek text.
Also, the RSV verse numbering differs from the NRSV.
The NRSV appears to have followed Swete's numbering here, so I have re-ordered the RSV to agree with both the NRSV & Swete for these chapters.
