Ψαλμὸς τῷ Σαλωμων.
 A Psalm Of Solomon 
1Κύριε ὁ θεός, αἰνέσω τῷ ὀνόματί σου ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει,
ἐν μέσῳ ἐπισταμένων τὰ κρίματά σου τὰ δίκαια·
 O Lord God, I will praise Thy name with joy,
In the midst of them that know Thy righteous judgments.		Psalm 5. PsSol.5.1-22
2ὅτι σὺ χρηστὸς καὶ ἐλεήμων, ἡ καταφυγὴ τοῦ πτωχοῦ·
 For Thou art good and merciful, the refuge of the poor; 
3ἐν τῷ κεκραγέναι με πρὸς σὲ μὴ παρασιωπήσῃς ἀπ' ἐμοῦ.
 When I cry to Thee,
do not silently disregard me.		 
4οὐ γὰρ λήψεταί [τις] σκῦλα παρὰ ἀνδρὸς δυνατοῦ·
 For no man taketh spoil from a mighty man; 
5καὶ τίς λήψεται ἀπὸ πάντων, ὧν ἐποίησας, ἐὰν μὴ σὺ δῷς;
 Who, then, can take aught of all that Thou hast made, except Thou Thyself givest? 
6ὅτι ἄνθρωπος καὶ ἡ μερὶς αὐτοῦ παρὰ σοῦ ἐν σταθμῷ·
οὐ προσθήσει τοῦ πλεονάσαι παρὰ τὸ κρίμα σου, ὁ θεός.
 For man and his portion [lie] before Thee in the balance;
He cannot add to, so as to enlarge, what has been prescribed by Thee. O God,		 
7ἐν τῷ θλίβεσθαι ἡμᾶς ἐπικαλεσόμεθά σε εἰς βοήθειαν,
καὶ σὺ οὐκ ἀποστρέψῃ τὴν δέησιν ἡμῶν,
ὅτι σὺ ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν εἶ.
 when we are in distress we call upon Thee for help,
And Thou dost not turn back our petition, for Thou art our God.		 
8μὴ βαρύνῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου ἐφ' ἡμᾶς,
ἵνα μὴ δι' ἀνάγκην ἁμάρτωμεν.
 Cause not Thy hand to be heavy upon us,
Lest through necessity we sin.		 
9καὶ ἐὰν μὴ ἐπιστρέψῃς ἡμᾶς, οὐκ ἀφεξόμεθα,
ἀλλ' ἐπὶ σὲ ἥξομεν.
 Even though Thou restore us not, we will not keep away;
But unto Thee will we come.		 
10ἐὰν γὰρ πεινάσω, πρὸς σὲ κεκράξομαι, ὁ θεός,
καὶ σὺ δώσεις μοι.
 For if I hunger, unto Thee will I cry, O God;
And Thou wilt give to me.		 
11τὰ πετεινὰ καὶ τοὺς ἰχθύας σὺ τρέφεις,
ἐν τῷ διδόναι σε ὑετὸν ἐρήμοις εἰς ἀνατολὴν χλόης·
ἑτοίμασαι χορτάσματα ἐν ἐρήμῳ παντὶ ζῶντι·
 Birds and fish dost Thou nourish,
In that Thou givest rain to the steppes that green grass may spring up,
[So] to prepare fodder in the steppe for every living thing;		 
12καὶ ἐὰν πεινάσωσιν, πρὸς σὲ ἀροῦσιν πρόσωπον αὐτῶν.
 And if they hunger, unto Thee do they lift up their face. 
13τοὺς βασιλεῖς καὶ ἄρχοντας καὶ λαοὺς σὺ τρέφεις, ὁ θεός,
καὶ πτωχοῦ καὶ πένητος ἡ ἐλπὶς τίς ἐστιν εἰ μὴ σύ, Κύριε;
 Kings and rulers and peoples Thou dost nourish, O God;
And who is the help of the poor and needy, if not Thou, O Lord?		 
14καὶ σὺ ἐπακούσῃ· ὅτι τίς χρηστὸς καὶ ἐπιεικὴς ἀλλ' ἢ σὺ;
εὐφρᾶναι ψυχὴν ταπεινοῦ ἐν τῷ ἀνοῖξαι χεῖρά σου ἐν ἐλέει;
 And Thou wilt hearken - for who is good and gentle but Thou? -
Making glad the soul of the humble by opening Thine hand in mercy.		 
15ἡ χρηστότης ἀνθρώπου ἐν φειδοῖ καὶ ἡ αὔριον·
καὶ ἐὰν δευτερώσῃ ἄνευ γογγυσμοῦ, καὶ τοῦτο θαυμάσειας.
 Man's goodness is [bestowed] grudgingly and ...;
And if he repeat [it] without murmuring, even that is marvelous.		 
16τὸ δὲ δόμα σου πολὺ μετὰ χρηστότητος καὶ πλούσιον,
καὶ οὗ ἐστιν ἡ ἐλπὶς ἐπὶ σέ, οὐ φείσεται ἐν δόματι.
 But Thy gift is great in goodness and wealth,
And he whose hope is [set] on Thee shall have no lack of gifts.		 
17ἐπὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν τὸ ἔλεός σου, Κύριε, ἐν χρηστότητι.
 Upon the whole earth is Thy mercy, O Lord, in goodness. 
18μακάριος οὗ μνημονεύει ὁ θεὸς ἐν συμμετρίᾳ αὐταρκείας·
 Happy is he whom God remembereth in [granting to him] a due sufficiency; 
19ἐὰν ὑπερπλεονάσῃ ὁ ἄνθρωπος, ἐξαμαρτάνει.
 If a man abound over much, he sinneth. 
20ἱκανὸν τὸ μέτριον ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ,
καὶ ἐν τούτῳ ἡ εὐλογία κυρίου εἰς πλησμονὴν ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ.
 Sufficient are moderate means with righteousness,
And hereby the blessing of the Lord [becomes] abundance with righteousness.		 
21εὐφρανθείησαν οἱ φοβούμενοι κύριον ἐν ἀγαθοῖς,
καὶ ἡ χρηστότης σου ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ σου.
 They that fear the Lord rejoice in good [gifts],
And Thy goodness is upon Israel in Thy kingdom.		 
22εὐλογημένη ἡ δόξα Κυρίου,
ὅτι αὐτὸς βασιλεὺς ἡμῶν.
 Blessed is the glory of the Lord
for He is our king.

Notes:

The Old Testament in Greek is Rahlf's LXX available in Word format at the Tyndale website, adapted to database format.
The alternative readings of the LXX - Judges (Alexandrinus), Daniel, Susanna & Bel (LXX received text), and Tobit (Sinaiticus [not printed in Swete]) as separate book references so that they can be viewed as an alternative text in parallel with the primary text.
(I have reversed the Swete presentation for Daniel, Susanna, Bel by listing in the later Theodotion LXX text as the main text. )
The LXX cross references to the Hebrew Bible have been extensively revised using those set out in Swete's 'Old Testament in Greek' publications between 1894 and 1909, amended in part to agree with verses as printed in the Biblia Hebraica (1937 publication).
Some verse cross references in Swete's had to be amended to agree with the BHS verse numbering, and there may well be some mismatches that I haven't yet picked up on. (If you find any errors please e-mail me.)
Hebrew Bible has been adapted from the BHS in Word format at Tyndale.
The Septuagint in English ( translated by Sir Lancelot CL Brenton) - is used here only for the books of the Hebrew Bible.
The Revised Standard Version: This generally follows the Hebrew Bible for the canonical OT so I have included the RSV Aprocrypha for the Greek books not covered by Brenton.
Ecclesiasticus - Sirach Chs.30-36: The text of these chapters from 30.24 to 36.16, is disordered.
I have followed Swete's verse numbering for the greek text.
Also, the RSV verse numbering differs from the NRSV.
The NRSV appears to have followed Swete's numbering here, so I have re-ordered the RSV to agree with both the NRSV & Swete for these chapters.
