"`O Lord Almighty, God of Israel, the soul in anguish and the wearied spirit cry out to thee.
2 ἄκουσον, κύριε, καὶ ἐλέησον, ὅτι ἡμάρτομεν ἐναντίον σου· Hear, O Lord, and have mercy, for we have sinned before thee.
For thou art enthroned for ever, and we are perishing for ever.
O Lord Almighty, God of Israel, hear now the prayer of the dead of Israel and of the sons ofvthose who sinned before thee, who did not heed the voice of the Lord their God, so that calamities have clung to us.
5 μὴ μνησθῇς ἀδικιῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν, ἀλλὰ μνήσθητι χειρός σου καὶ ὀνόματός σου ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ· Remember not the iniquities of our fathers, but in this crisis remember thy power and thy name.
For thou art the Lord our God, and thee, O Lord, will we praise.
For thou hast put the fear of thee in our hearts in order that we should call upon thy name; and we will praise thee in our exile, for we have put away from our hearts all the iniquity of our fathers who sinned before thee.
Behold, we are today in our exile where thou hast scattered us, to be reproached and cursed and punished for all the iniquities of our fathers who forsook the Lord our God.'"
9 Ἄκουε, Ισραηλ, ἐντολὰς ζωῆς, ἐνωτίσασθε γνῶναι φρόνησιν. Hear the commandments of life, O Israel;
give ear, and learn wisdom!
In praise of Wisdom. Bar.3.9-4.4
10 τί ἐστιν, Ισραηλ, τί ὅτι ἐν γῇ τῶν ἐχθρῶν εἶ, ἐπαλαιώθης ἐν γῇ ἀλλοτρίᾳ, Why is it, O Israel, why is it that you are in the land of your enemies,
that you are growing old in a foreign country,
that you are defiled with the dead,

11 συνεμιάνθης τοῖς νεκροῖς, προσελογίσθης μετὰ τῶν εἰς ᾅδου; that you are counted among those in Hades?

You have forsaken the fountain of wisdom.

If you had walked in the way of God,
you would be dwelling in peace for ever.

- Learn where there is wisdom,
where there is strength,
where there is understanding,
that you may at the same time discern where there is length of days, and life,
where there is light for the eyes, and peace.

15 τίς εὗρεν τὸν τόπον αὐτῆς, καὶ τίς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τοὺς θησαυροὺς αὐτῆς; Who has found her place?
And who has entered her storehouses?

16 ποῦ εἰσιν οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ οἱ κυριεύοντες τῶν θηρίων τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, Where are the princes of the nations,
and those who rule over the beasts on earth;

17 οἱ ἐν τοῖς ὀρνέοις τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐμπαίζοντες καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον θησαυρίζοντες καὶ τὸ χρυσίον, ᾧ ἐπεποίθεισαν ἄνθρωποι, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν τέλος τῆς κτήσεως αὐτῶν, those who have sport with the birds of the air,
and who hoard up silver and gold,
in which men trust,
and there is no end to their getting;

18 οἱ τὸ ἀργύριον τεκταίνοντες καὶ μεριμνῶντες, καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐξεύρεσις τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν; those who scheme to get silver, and are anxious,
whose labors are beyond measure?

They have vanished and gone down to Hades,
and others have arisen in their place.

20 νεώτεροι εἶδον φῶς καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ὁδὸν δὲ ἐπιστήμης οὐκ ἔγνωσαν Young men have seen the light of day,
and have dwelt upon the earth;
but they have not learned the way to knowledge,
nor understood her paths,
nor laid hold of her.

Their sons have strayed far from her way.

22 οὐδὲ ἠκούσθη ἐν Χανααν οὐδὲ ὤφθη ἐν Θαιμαν, She has not been heard of in Canaan,
nor seen in Teman;

- the sons of Hagar, who seek for understanding on the earth,
the merchants of Merran and Teman,
the story-tellers and the seekers for understanding,
have not learned the way to wisdom,
nor given thought to her paths.

24 ὦ Ισραηλ, ὡς μέγας ὁ οἶκος τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐπιμήκης ὁ τόπος τῆς κτήσεως αὐτοῦ· O Israel, how great is the house of God!
And how vast the territory that he possesses!

25 μέγας καὶ οὐκ ἔχει τελευτήν, ὑψηλὸς καὶ ἀμέτρητος. It is great and has no bounds;
it is high and immeasurable.

The giants were born there, who were famous of old,
great in stature, expert in war.

27 οὐ τούτους ἐξελέξατο ὁ θεὸς οὐδὲ ὁδὸν ἐπιστήμης ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς· God did not choose them,
nor give them the way to knowledge;

- so they perished because they had no wisdom,
they perished through their folly.

29 τίς ἀνέβη εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ κατεβίβασεν αὐτὴν ἐκ τῶν νεφελῶν; Who has gone up into heaven, and taken her,
and brought her down from the clouds?

30 τίς διέβη πέραν τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ εὗρεν αὐτὴν καὶ οἴσει αὐτὴν χρυσίου ἐκλεκτοῦ; Who has gone over the sea, and found her,
and will buy her for pure gold?

31 οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ γινώσκων τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῆς οὐδὲ ὁ ἐνθυμούμενος τὴν τρίβον αὐτῆς· No one knows the way to her,
or is concerned about the path to her.

32 ἀλλὰ ὁ εἰδὼς τὰ πάντα γινώσκει αὐτήν, ἐξεῦρεν αὐτὴν τῇ συνέσει αὐτοῦ· ὁ κατασκευάσας τὴν γῆν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα χρόνον, ἐνέπλησεν αὐτὴν κτηνῶν τετραπόδων· But he who knows all things knows her,
he found her by his understanding.
He who prepared the earth for all time
filled it with four-footed creatures;

33 ὁ ἀποστέλλων τὸ φῶς, καὶ πορεύεται, ἐκάλεσεν αὐτό, καὶ ὑπήκουσεν αὐτῷ τρόμῳ· he who sends forth the light, and it goes,
called it, and it obeyed him in fear;

34 οἱ δὲ ἀστέρες ἔλαμψαν ἐν ταῖς φυλακαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ εὐφράνθησαν, the stars shone in their watches, and were glad;
he called them, and they said,
"Here we are!"
They shone with gladness for him who made them.

35 ἐκάλεσεν αὐτοὺς καὶ εἶπον Πάρεσμεν, ἔλαμψαν μετ' εὐφροσύνης τῷ ποιήσαντι αὐτούς. This is our God;
no other can be compared to him!

He found the whole way to knowledge,
and gave her to Jacob his servant
and to Israel whom he loved.

37 ἐξεῦρεν πᾶσαν ὁδὸν ἐπιστήμης καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν Ιακωβ τῷ παιδὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ Ισραηλ τῷ ἠγαπημένῳ ὑπ' αὐτοῦ· Afterward she appeared upon earth and lived among men.

Notes:

The Old Testament in Greek is Rahlf's LXX available in Word format at the Tyndale website, adapted to database format.
The alternative readings of the LXX - Judges (Alexandrinus), Daniel, Susanna & Bel (LXX received text), and Tobit (Sinaiticus [not printed in Swete]) as separate book references so that they can be viewed as an alternative text in parallel with the primary text.
(I have reversed the Swete presentation for Daniel, Susanna, Bel by listing in the later Theodotion LXX text as the main text. )
The LXX cross references to the Hebrew Bible have been extensively revised using those set out in Swete's 'Old Testament in Greek' publications between 1894 and 1909, amended in part to agree with verses as printed in the Biblia Hebraica (1937 publication).
Some verse cross references in Swete's had to be amended to agree with the BHS verse numbering, and there may well be some mismatches that I haven't yet picked up on. (If you find any errors please e-mail me.)
Hebrew Bible has been adapted from the BHS in Word format at Tyndale.
The Septuagint in English ( translated by Sir Lancelot CL Brenton) - is used here only for the books of the Hebrew Bible.
The Revised Standard Version: This generally follows the Hebrew Bible for the canonical OT,
but use this as the English Text for the remainder of the LXX (Apocrypha - Deuterocanonical books).
Ecclesiasticus - Sirach Chs.30-36: The text of these chapters from 30.24 to 36.16, is disordered.
I have followed Swete's verse numbering for the greek text.
Also, the RSV verse numbering differs from the NRSV.
The NRSV appears to have followed Swete's numbering here, so I have re-ordered the RSV to agree with both the NRSV & Swete for these chapters.
