Appendix B: A Bibliography

Since the purpose of this book has been to show the impossibility of cataloguing the 'assured results' of New Testament criticism, we are unable to provide the short and selected list of books where he reader with a may find such, conclusions set forth in compact and handy form.
A somewhat extensive bibliography may, however, be found useful, as at least indicating the energy that is being put forth in the attempt to perfect the critical method.

In each section, which follows, the books are named roughly in order of advancing elaboration of treatment and, where necessary, are grouped in subjects.
Only books written in English or translated into English have been included in this list.
The date of the first edition or translation into English is given and, in cases where a book has subsequently been revised, details of the last revision.
